Erin Crowley studied at OCAD, where she earned her Bachelor of Design in 2007. Erin’s artwork is considered mixed media on canvas. She builds texture by pressing found natural objects, such as leaves, into acrylic plaster, and works on top of the texture with acrylic paints and gel mediums. Her artwork is inspired by natural landscapes and the duality of land versus sky.
Erin is offering both “standard” and “commission” pieces. After a recent experience with Art Battle Canada in her hometown of Peterborough, Ontario, Erin developed a new technique using less material that is more adaptable to a commission format. This gives you the freedom to work with Erin to create a custom piece!
To keep it simple, here is a step-by-step process of how Erin’s “commissioned” orders work:
- Step 1: Choose a size — 18″ x 24″ or 16″ x 16″
- Step 2: Choose a theme — water or land
- Step 3: Choose one side colour (for the edge-work) — red, grey, yellow or blue
Look for the special “commission” thumbnails under Erin’s available Work below and start by choosing from two available sizes. Follow the other steps then leave the rest to Erin who will create your own beautiful custom painting!
