About Megan Ward
"My work considers the role that memories and personal symbolism play in our interactions with the external world, and how imagination, dreaming, and subconscious influences affect our recollections. The intersection of the common, relatable experience and the highly personal is what sparks my creativity.
Inspiration comes in fits and starts from the many facets and rhythms of existence—from family photo albums to flea markets, nightmares and fairy tales, songs and the daily minutiae. I make use of oil and acrylic paints, photography, collage and image transfer techniques, pen and ink, and creative writing in my regular practice."
