Vanessa McKernan Shipping and Returns Policy
Your order will ship via the carrier and delivery service level you choose during the checkout process. Rates are determined by the selected carrier based on the destination and size/weight of the item(s) shipped.
You as purchaser are responsible for all shipping costs relating to your order, including associated taxes, duties, customs clearance and brokerage fees. All shipments will include a tracking number provided to you upon order dispatch. All shipments will require a signature upon delivery, unless otherwise arranged by you. Insurance is mandatory and will be subject to the rates, terms, conditions, coverages and liability limits issued or otherwise imposed by the selected carrier. Depending on the terms of the carrier’s insurance and the retail value of your order, the entire amount of your purchase may not be covered. If additional insurance or other service delivery options are required, please contact me immediately after placing your order via the Contact Me button on my artist profile.
I will process your order promptly but please allow us 2-3 business days (5–7 business days on orders shipping outside of Canada) for careful preparation and packaging before your item is dispatched.
Shipping times will vary between carrier and delivery service level. Shipping times outside of Canada may take significantly longer depending on customs clearance in purchaser’s destination country.
If you live in the GTA and prefer to pick-up your purchase at my studio you can select “Pick Up” at checkout and contact me after your order is confirmed to make the necessary arrangements. You are solely responsible for inspection of the package on delivery to ensure it has arrived in good order or otherwise to note and document (including with high quality digital photos) any damage which may have occurred in transit. As merchant, I am not responsible or liable for lost, stolen or damaged items but I will make reasonable efforts to assist with any claims to the carrier in those situations where insurance is in place.
If the artwork is damaged during shipping, please keep the packaging and e-mail me immediately upon delivery (within 48 hours), including digital images of the damage.
If you are dissatisfied with the product for any other reason, please contact me within 7 days of delivery. While returns are not accepted, items can be exchanged for a different artwork of equal or greater value. Buyers are responsible for all shipping, customs and duty charges associated with exchanges in addition to any difference in price of artwork. The new work will be shipped out once the payment (shipping and price difference) has been received and the original artwork has been delivered to me in its original condition. Insurance for the purchase value of the work must be included in the shipping for the exchanged item.
If returned artwork is received in a condition other than new, a repair fee (minimum of 15% of the cost of the item) will be required before the new work can be shipped to the buyer.
Artwork may also be exchanged in person at the studio by appointment.
